BTCCSquare news:

Anthropic has launched dual legal challenges against the Pentagon and federal agencies following its designation as a national security risk. The AI firm's refusal to remove safety protocols from its Claude system triggered a sweeping ban across government operations.

The Defense Department's February 27 blacklisting came after Anthropic declined to enable military applications involving autonomous weapons or domestic surveillance. President Trump subsequently barred all federal use of Claude technology, prompting allegations of First Amendment infringements.

Legal observers note the timing coincides with OpenAI securing new Pentagon contracts, raising questions about competitive fairness in defense procurement. The lawsuits filed in California and D.C. courts challenge the 'supply-chain risk' classification as procedurally improper and substantively unfounded.
